In the summer of 1996, Peters stained glass company invited artists from the Federal Republic of Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland to participate in a Christmas exhibition on the topic of
"IN SEARCH OF THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD".
The only requirement for the glass pictures was their format of 45 x 45 cm. Otherwise, there should be no limit to their creativity.
About 40 artists agreed to participate. In December 1996, the exhibition was presented to the public with great success in the new building of Paderborner glas + räume GmbH. With works by a further 25 artists, other exhibitions took place in 1997: in Telgte's Crib Museum, the Immenhausen Glass Museum and the Catholic Academy in Schwerte. The number of artists was growing all the time; the exhibits have already travelled to Pamplona (Spain), Highcliffe, Salisbury, London (England), Tokyo (Japan), the Stained Glass Museum in Romont (Switzerland), and in Germany to the Stained Glass Museum in Linnich and other destinations.
An end to this is not foreseen.
